Utah State Reviews, NMSU Previews

Here's last night's Chawan-pilation of news from KITV, KGMB and KHON. Each station has interviews with players. KGMB also has footage of a sliding catch Davone Bess made yesterday. And CC put in a UH basketball story from KITV.

Dave Reardon reviews five key plays from the Utah State game in this week's Warrior Replay article.

Reardon has a Further Review column about just how bad this loss was.

Jason Kaneshiro talks to Coach Mack about reinstilling a sense of urgency.
"We have to have more of a sense of urgency as a football team," McMackin said. "We have some goals we're playing for and we have to have a sense of urgency and start right from the start, and finish the game."

The task of trying to reach their third straight bowl game -- and extend the season for the senior class -- continues against New Mexico State (3-5, 1-3), which enters the week on a three-game skid after losing to Boise State 49-0 on Saturday.
Kaneshiro talks to Ikaika Malloe about his previous coaching stint in El Paso, where the Warriors are practicing this week.

Ferd Lewis talks to Greg McMackin about getting down to business.
Never mind that the Warriors' hotel is but a 15-minute bus ride from the U.S.-Mexico border, head coach Greg McMackin has vowed to run a tight "camp" the six days the Warriors headquarter here in preparation for Saturday's game at New Mexico State.

"Nobody's going to Mexico," McMackin said yesterday. "This is a business trip."
Ferd also writes about NMSU coach Hal Mumme.

Felix Chavez of Las Cruces Sun-News has a game preview.

And both HawaiiAthletics.com and NMStateSports.com have their pre-game press releases with info, notes, storylines, etc.
