- Greg Alexander was 19 of 34 for 315 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. He also rushed 14 times for 43 yards.
- Greg Salas had 7 catches for 131 yards and a touchdown
- Adam Leonard and Solomon Elimimian had 10 tackles and 1 sack each.
Hawai'i (7-5) accepted an invitation to play in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl on Dec. 24.And here's a wrap-up from Jason Kaneshiro.
The Warriors close the regular season next Saturday against nationally ranked Cincinnati.
Washington State finished its season 2-11.
Earlier in the day, the Warriors moved into a tie for second in the Western Athletic Conference at 5-3 behind Boise State (8-0). Nevada defeated Louisiana Tech, 35-31, today with both teams also finishing at 5-3 in the WAC.

Congratulations to the Warriors!
After the SJSU loss most people were writing this off as a lost season but here the team is at 7-5 with a bowl game coming up. The way the rest of the season has played out, the SJSU and Utah State losses were the only real "bad" losses as the other three were to teams that are (Florida) or were possibly (OSU, BSU) BCS bound (win or lose the SEC title game, Florida is getting a BCS berth). Plus, UH gets a chance to make college football observers angry again if they can beat a BCS-bound Cincinnati.

Tack on Cincy, OSU and Florida and that's seven bowl bound teams UH played this year. Yes, almost no one expected Cincinnati and Oregon State to be as good as they were but that's a damn tough schedule for a transition year.

Oh, and can we say that Paul Johnson got revenge for UH in a roundabout manner by beating Georgia? And with the triple option!

I know Weber State was in a lower division but they also did well and they won last night by beating the #3 ranked Cal Poly in Saturday's first round action of the 2008 NCAA Division I FCS playoffs.
Funny thing about the coach for Cal Poly Mustangs which lost to Weber State--their head coach's name was Rich Ellerson. Wondering if this is the same Rich Ellerson that once played for UH football many years ago.

hell yes! the 1992 UH team traveled to the future to avenge our loss.
and it's definitely turned out to be a really tough schedule. can't wait for the cincy game. hopefully mouton and pilares will be back.
