Rolo Leads Team to Victory
Right on for Nick Rolovich, in his first start of the season.
SALT LAKE CITY - The Las Vegas Gladiators ended their nine game losing streak, in a 54-53 victory over the Blaze. The victory came when Gladiators kicker Steve Azar nailed a 22-yard field goal with 9/10 seconds left in the game in front of 14,305 at EnergySolutions Arena in Utah.Excellent news. Here's an article from last week, profiling Rolo when things weren't looking so good. And yet he kept his head up and remained positive. Let's hope this is the start of something special for him.
...
The Gladiators offense never missed a beat after the first quarter, led by QB Nick Rolovich who finished the game with 28 completions for 329 yards and seven touchdowns, in his first start of the season.

All-
Bobby Curran interviewed Nick Rolovich this morning on his morning drive show in the 7:00 hour as a follow up to the successful start. Rolo sounded great- optimistic, complementary of the Arena Football squad and organization in Vegas, and said it had been over 2000 days since his last start as QB, so rust wasn't the only issue! Evidently he is going for his masters as well, while working in construction to keep himself fed, so big ups to him for getting a chance to follow his academic as well as athletic dreams-
