Spring Day 1

Yesterday was the first day of spring practice. It was raining manapua and adobo. Stephen Tsai has a recap. Some key points:

• Defensive lineman Renolds Fruean won't be participating in spring practice because he has to work to pay his tuition and other expenses. June Jones doesn't have a scholarship to offer him right now. Damn, where's the corrupt boosters when you need them? I'm just kidding, NCAA.


• Cornerback JoPierre Davis is also not participating in spring practice because of grades he needs to take care of.
